　 Welcome party incruding registration at a front of room MEDIANO (2nd floor) of Hotel Buena Vista in Matsumoto. We will also provide a registration site for Japanese participants at Shinshu Univ (with MSSJ registration ).

Excursion

Kametaya Sake Brewery and a tasting
　Kametaya Syuzou-ten (Kametaya Sake Brewery since 1869) makes sake, Japanese traditional alcohol drinks, from fermented rice.  We see a sake-cellar and old house, because October is out of season for sake-making.  At the end of tour of the sake plant, we can enjoy free samples of several kinds of sake, Alps Masamune®, Kamenoyo®, etc.

Narai-juku
　We reach a post town along Nakasendo-Road in Edo-era (17-19 centuries) after one-hour trip by bus.  Narai-juke is very famous for Shikki or japan (lacquer ware), which is made of wood painted with Urushi-lacquer, such as tableware, tray, furniture, etc.  Matsumoto castle (national treasure) is also painted with black Urushi-lacquer.
　We will go around the old town and go shopping, and relax in a café.
